Our amazing web of life is in trouble.  

Nature is under extreme pressure from land-clearing, invasive species, climate disruption and inappropriate development and management. The people who can fix this, our elected leaders, are missing in action. And many of the key public service roles that protect wildlife and habitats, have been slashed. 

With fewer frontline workers out in nature keeping watch, this is where nature-loving people like you can step up. 

VNPA’s NatureWatch and ReefWatch programs play an essential role in coordinating citizen science activities that are highly effective at collecting critical data and providing it directly to decision makers with the power to prevent habitat destruction. 

Your gift today will support: 

  • Buying equipment for surveying wildlife 
  • Training volunteers in effective survey methods 
  • Increased participation in the collection of marine data through the Great Victorian Fish Count and Sea Slug Census activities 
  • Working with the media to demonstrate where habitats and wildlife need protection

What is the optional platform cost contribution for?

We use a fundraising platform called Funraisin that has very high levels of security in safeguarding and protecting your data. Funraisin charges fees for their specialist services and optional contributions from donors help to keep those fees low for not-for-profits like VNPA. They are entirely optional – please feel free to opt out.
